We’re looking for a part or full time Retail Assistant to join our Plant Area team. You’ll be a heads up, hardworking and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working within a team and serving customers brilliantly. Being a 7-days a week business, we ask all team members to work one weekend day per week.
As a retail assistant in the Plant Area, you’ll report to our Plant Area Manager and your responsibilities will include:
• Seeking out customers and communicating effectively to help them find what they’re looking for
• Keeping the plant area tidy, topped up and well organised throughout the day
• Helping with stock handling and maintenance of displays if required
An ideal candidate will:
• Be a positive person with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Have great social and interpersonal skills
• Have a keen interest and good knowledge of plants
• Be comfortable working outside throughout the year
• Get stuck in and contribute to a hardworking, happy team
• Be flexible and happy to help out in other departments – like our garden shop – if needed
